The financial situation for RHIBH’s Erika Girardi and Tom Girardi grows worse with every passing day as various claims are made against their estate.

Things are moving very quickly for Erika Girardi, and with each passing day, it gets worse.  Attorney Ronald Richards has been reporting things live from the courtroom and giving up-to-date information as it happens.  You can also follow the Edelson PC v. Girardi (1:20-cv-07115) case on Court Listener.  Yesterday, Erika, her company EJ Global LLC, and a few other people and companies were summoned to appear in court for the case against Tom Girardi and Girardi Keese, which is a terrible sign for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.

It is hard to keep up with the case at the pace that things are happening, but the fact that the lawsuit is moving so fast is a bad sign in itself.  The courts seem to be moving quickly in order to keep the Girardi’s from hiding any more assets or being able to slink away from taking responsibility for this mess.  Also, being summoned doesn’t necessarily mean Erika is going to get her glam squad to work pro-bono for some court chic outfit, but it shows that she (and her company) are a part of this case.

The judge seems to be collecting other companies and people that are owed money by Tom and his company, of which there seem to be a lot.  In one Tweet, Ronald Richards notes that just 13 days ago, Tom lost a “motion for summary judgment against KCC Class Action,” with a balance of $7,500,000.  Tom was competent in court to oppose the motion, even though they are now claiming he is mentally incompetent.  Another set of filed paperwork shows that Tom refused to pay the victims of the PG&E explosion back in 2019 to the tune of $11,000,000.

These situations keep coming up, with more than $30,000,000 unpaid to various victims and people around the country.  With all of this on the table, their only choice soon will be to file for bankruptcy because they do not have the funds to pay anyone.  Tom’s lawyer, Evan Jenness, noted that they only had $15,000 in the bank and could not make payroll.

Due to all of the various situations and claims, the divorce cannot move forward until things are more settled.  All of the assets shared between Tom, Erika, and his company, and her company, are on hold for now.  Meanwhile, Erika is selling her clothing on an app.  She better drop her prices, because she’s going to need it soon.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be back next year on Bravo.
