RHOBH stars Erika Girardi and Tom Girardi are being accused of embezzling funds from a group of crash victims as a way to find their “lavish lifestyle.”

Erika Girardi is in some big trouble!  Her divorce from Tom Girardi just got a lot more interesting with a lawsuit.  Edelson PC, a class action firm, alleging that the pair are divorcing as a means of protecting their assets, according to Page Six.  According to the article, the suit claims that Tom and his firm, Girardi Keese, “are on the verge of financial collapse and locked in a downward spiral of mounting debts and dwindling funds.”  The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has always lived an XXPEN$IVE lifestyle, but is that house of cards about to come down?

A group of victims from Lion Air Flight 610 has enlisted Edelson PC after accusing Tom and Erika of allegedly embezzling settlement funds.  Erika may have put her own foot in her mouth with this one, as she was flaunting the fact that her lifestyle cost $40,000 a month to support.  Edelson PC alleges that the divorce is simply a way of keeping their money in their own pockets and away from those who might be seeking payment from Tom and his law firm.

By divorcing, it would be a way to hypothetically protect Tom’s assets from the ongoing slew of lawsuits he seems to incur on a regular basis.  It does appear that where there is smoke, there is fire, and the Girardi’s might be on fire.  Erika’s “lavish lifestyle” is mentioned more than once and seems to be a major point of contention in this suit.

Erika will most certainly say that this lawsuit has no merit like she did the rest of them, and she will definitely not discuss this on season 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  She’s only playing a character, right?

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be back next year on Bravo.
