Real Housewives of Orange County: The passive-aggressive tequila obsession

The Real Housewives of Orange County tried to hold it together for a vow renewal, but instead, they got wasted and argued about water.

The Real Housewives of Orange County has some drama brewing because Kelly Dodd doesn’t know what a tincture is!  Is anyone surprised by this news?  We are not.  Shannon Storms Beador didn’t realize how triggering a vow renewal would be for her, but based on her level of inebriation, she was very triggered.  While Gina Kirschenheiter vowed to stay sober for Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Shannon said she would not drink…tequila.

By the time the ceremony was over, Shannon was slurring her words, crying, and spilling her heart out to anyone who will listen.  Shannon and David Beador had a vow renewal a few years ago that didn’t end very well since he continued his affair and they eventually divorced.  Shannon wasn’t done with her duties for the night though, as she found Emily Simpson and hiccupped right in her face, before telling Braunwyn that she didn’t drink in front of her out of respect  Good job, girl!

Under the surface, it seems that the ladies are a little pissed that Braunwyn went and got sober because it ruined some of their fun.  Kelly is obviously not sympathetic towards the situation and Shannon says she is but isn’t actually.  They can’t openly be pissed that she stopped drinking, so they’re going to be passive-aggressive about it.  Shannon always drank vodka before, but now she seems to be hung up on the lack of tequila at their filmed events.  Passive-aggressive!

Kelly even carried in a whole box of tequila and told Braunwyn about it instead of trying to be discreet.  They aren’t going on a cross-country road trip in an RV, they are going to one event!  Why does everyone need tequila so badly?  Gina stuck by her promise and didn’t drink, so kudos to her for that.  Braunwyn also made it through sober and seemed to enjoy herself.

To make matters worse, Shannon ordered scrambled egg whites the next day to cure her hangover.  Shannon doesn’t always make the right choices in life, but we definitely cannot get behind that one.  Bad choices all around, starting with tequila and ending with scrambled egg whites.
