Real Housewives of Potomac: Portugal can’t fix this drama!

The Real Housewives of Potomac is off to Portugal for Ashley Darby’s trip, and the divide between the group just keeps growing.

The Real Housewives of Potomac group is obviously still very fractured by the drama between Candiace Dillard Bassett and Monique Samuels.  When Ashley Darby invited the group to Portugal, Monique was not invited because none of the other ladies wanted her there.  We did learn this episode that one of the reasons that Ashley is backing Monique so hard is because of the butt grabbing incident last season at Monique’s home.

So while this is Ashley’s cast trip, Candiace was once again vying for the spotlight after the physical fight.  Candiace insisted she just wanted to unwind and have a good time, but she seems to be the only one that is still wrapped up in the incident.  That’s not to say she should just get over it, but her whole life seems to revolve around it right now – even outside of the country.

“Rusty ass [expletive],” Candiace said when she found out Monique was pressing her own charges.  And when it really comes down to it, that’s probably Candiace’s real personality coming to light.  The one that her husband has to help hide in public because she’s such a loose cannon.  Not the prim and proper and well-read Candiace she wants us to see, but the angry, hateful, erratic Candiace that comes out during stressful times.

Her two personalities are so far apart from one another, it’s a bit unsettling to watch.  While violence is never the answer, Candiace is not a good person like she pretends to be.  She can write notes and leave them around her room all she wants, but she should change the content of them.  “You are okay,” could be “You are nice.”  “You are in charge” could be, “Be a better person.”

Playing the victim in this scenario is exhausting to watch.  If the court threw out Candiace case just like it threw out the case filed by Monique, then that settles it.  We stand with the courts of Maryland!
