Vanderpump Rules: Jax Taylor says filming resumes this month
By Amanda Cline
Jax Taylor, notoriously unreliable Vanderpump Rules star, claims filming was “supposed to” start this month, but no one else on the cast agrees.
When asked about Vanderpump Rules on an Instagram live session this week, Jax Taylor said that filming was supposed to resume for season 9 this month. “We’re supposed to go back to filming…In fact, we were supposed to go back this month. But it’s just a matter of when they are going to allow us,” he said in the video.
Jax, wearing a fuzzy cardigan with his hair in disarray looks like he is already embracing the “new dad” lifestyle now that he and Brittany Cartwright are expecting their first child together. In addition to that, Lala Kent and Randall Emmett are expecting a baby girl, as are Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark. Lala even revealed last week that the group had a pregnancy pact to get pregnant at the same time, which clearly worked out.
This, of course, contradicts what we have heard previously from Lala and Ariana Madix. Lala originally said that filming was moved to October, but the situation in California hasn’t really improved much for filming purposes. Ariana noted that they had not been told anything about a new filming date. So, is Jax lying? Never!
Vanderpump Rules was once a show about a group of sloppy friends getting drunk and slapping one another, but the next season will be much different. Even though Stassi is gone, watching two members of the group start the new phase of their lives sounds interesting, but it probably won’t be. Pregnant television stars screaming at their friends and loved ones just doesn’t sound like interesting TV, right?
Is it possible for a show to seamless move from booze-filled backyard BBQs and themed birthday parties in bars to…gender reveals and sip and see parties? I think not. Also, Bravo cannot actually expect that the viewers who enjoyed watching Jax and Tom Schwartz take shots in wigs will actually enjoy watching Jax and Tom pretend to care about baby clothes. Will the sip and see be held at Hooters?
Bravo, Lisa Vanderpump, and everyone else close to this mess of a show has remained very quiet about the next steps for the group…could babies be the answer to their problems? No, that is 100% not the answer, but it might be their only option.
Vanderpump Rules is on Bravo….for reruns.
