Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave just announced she was leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to focus on her family and other projects.
Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave confirmed in an Instagram post earlier this evening that she was confirming her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. While pretending she was very busy with other things, Teddi said that she didn’t want to bore people with her announcement, but she was confirming the rumors that she was done.
Teddi said she didn’t want to pretend that there were contractual issues or some sort of mutual understanding – she basically said she got fired. Teddi did say she was sad because she felt like she was breaking up with the cast and members of the crew that she had gotten to know during her time on the show.
The Instagram post probably wasn’t the best way to announce her departure because it seems like the news is still pretty fresh. Teddi did thank Bravo and Andy for the opportunity in a tweet, and also thanked “all of the amazing women for the support (and the shade) for the past three years. Back to the shadows I go.” Goodbye, Teddi!
The former RHOBH star said she wants to focus on her family, especially her youngest daughter Dove, and her All in by Teddi program. Of course, the program has been hit with a ton of bad publicity lately with many members breaking their non-disclosure agreements to discuss the shady things happening behind closed doors (and Instagram accounts).
Teddi was also on the receiving end of a lot of hate this season after aligning herself with Kyle Richards and Lisa Rinna in their roles as the Mean Girls of Beverly Hills. Just kidding. But the ladies did earn that nickname for their treatment of Denise Richards throughout the season.
Now that Denise is gone and Teddi is too, there is hopefully some room for new ladies on the cast to shake things up. Another season of Teddi, Rinna, and Kyle attacking someone sure isn’t the kind of television viewers enjoy.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be back next year on Bravo.
