Real Housewives of Potomac: Well, that was awkward

The Real Housewives of Potomac was awkward this week as Michael Darby faced the consequences of his sneaky actions behind Ashley Darby’s back.

The Real Housewives of Potomac is all about Ashley Darby and Michael Darby this week.  And not just them as people, but how Michael’s actions always seem to drag Ashley down with him.  “My marriage has had its own identity,” Ashley told the girls.  Monique Samuels and Robyn Dixon sent Ashley and article about what Michael has been up to while she was busy with the baby.

Ashley and Michael went out to dinner and over some roasted Brussels sprouts, made Michael tell her the story of the night after the strip club.  Meanwhile, production was showing the footage the girl took on her rendezvous with Michael.  All the way through the hotel, up to the room, in the room.  She basically filmed all of it, likely because she knew who he was and what she could do with the video afterward.

Michael agreed that he was being inconsiderate, but is that really what he was being?  A married man takes home a random girl from the strip club and has a sleepover and that is inconsiderate?  Michael said he was craving intimacy and that is what he got.  Of course, Ashley has probably been busy caring for their infant child while Michael is off seeking intimacy in a dirty old club.

The couple noted that in the past, something like this might have been fine in their situation.  Though it isn’t a normal marriage arrangement, it seemed to work for them just fine.  At one point,  Michael asked for production to stop filming.  It was very obviously just as awkward for Michael as it was for us watching at home.  Well, probably more so for Michael.  Ashley just sat there eating her house salad.

Ashley’s mom shared her feelings about the situation when she and Ashley went shopping later on.  She insisted that he needs to be focused on Ashley and his child and stop messing around with random people he finds out at night.  I mean, things you would think are kind of obvious for a married man.

Ashley did confirm to the other ladies that it was Michael in the photo and the rumors about what happened were true.  Of course, it was a little too late for the girls as the information had been out there for a while.  Ashley did her best to try and spin it in a way that didn’t make her look too bad, but it was still incredibly messy.

Of course, the drama with Candiace Dillard Bassett and Monique Samuels was also trying to take center stage but it looks like the rest of it will have to wait until next week.
