Real Housewives of Potomac: Ashley Darby is pregnant with baby #2

Ashley Darby, The Real Housewives of Potomac star, announced on Instagram today that she is pregnant with her second child with her husband.

Ashley Darby has been adjusting to mom-life on this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac and apparently the next one too!  Ashley announced on Instagram that she and Michael Darby are expecting an older sibling for their son, Dean.  Dean was born on July 7, 2019, and the newest addition is expected in February 2021.

Ashley and baby Dean went on the most recent trip to the lakehouse with the ladies.  While Ashley had herself and a friend to care for Dean, Michael was allegedly at the strip club looking for someone to care for him that night.  Candiace Dillard Bassett received a text with a photo of Michael and shared the info with Ashley and the ladies.

Wendy Osefo welcomed her daughter, Kamrynn, about two weeks after Ashley had Dean.  Wendy was rightfully a bit annoyed that Dean came to the lake house and she wasn’t offered the same accommodations.  “If Ashley can bring her baby, why can’t I bring my baby?”

At the time, both women were breastfeeding and it was hard for Wendy to leave Kamrynn at home.  Also, Kam was in the ICU for a bit when she was born because she was premature.  I’d be extra attached, too.  Wendy and Ashley got into it briefly on the trip but the weekend at the lake isn’t over yet!  Since there was nothing else to do, Wendy brought plenty of entertainment to the group!

The timing of the announcement isn’t great but considering what is to come for the pair in the next few weeks, it makes sense.  Since the show is still airing, contract negotiations probably have not started yet.  That means we might get a whole season of pregnant Ashley if nothing changes with her spot.

Either way, congratulations to Ashley, Michael, and Dean.  Mazel to the family and all of that!
