Monique Samuels says she’s tired of defending herself over the fight on this season of RHOP with Candiace Dillard Bassett.
We know some serious drama went down between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard Bassett during the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, but we still have a ways to go before we see that. Monique spoke to In The Know’s Gibson Johns about the situation and said she really couldn’t wait for it to be over.
Monique noted that since the fight got out during filming, all people want to discuss is the altercation. Monique noted that she has her podcast “Not For Lazy Moms,” a new book titled “Potty Training Mommy and Daddy” that is available on Amazon, and even a song called “Drag Queens” that is surely about Candiace – all of which she says are more interesting to discuss than the fight.
It does seem that the issue with Candiace overshadowed much of the other drama this season, even though we haven’t seen much of it yet. Monique also said she would rather talk about the positives that she has going on instead of discussing the negativity surrounding the fight.
The problem is that when people talk to Monique, she seems to have to defend herself. The pieces of the puzzles we have seen would seem to indicate that Monique was in the wrong, especially after the most recent episode. “To them, it really didn’t make sense why I was so upset about such a small incident.”
We don’t know where Monique stands with the rest of the housewives currently, but it is safe to say things with Candiace are still not good. Both of them have been going on Instagram live to share their sides of the story in recent weeks.
During one of her Instagram live sessions, Monique blamed Gizelle Bryant for starting the affair rumors. It was believed before that Candiace was the one who started the rumors, which could certainly play into the situation that is about to unfold.
The Real Housewives of Potomac will be back next Sunday at 9 PM.
