Ahead of this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York, Dorinda Medley announced she was done with the show after five seasons.
Dorinda Medley hasn’t had the easiest time on The Real Housewives of New York this season, both with her castmates and viewers. Dorinda has been increasingly angry on the show, taking a lot of her frustrations out on former co-star Tinsley Mortimer. But now it seems she has decided to leave RHONY after five seasons.
“I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice…But all things must come to an end.”
Dorinda posted on her social media pages early Tuesday morning that she was thankful for Bravo and NBC Universal for her experience on the show, but she felt it was time to move on. She also said she felt it was a good way to deal with the loss of her late husband, Richard. Dorinda noted that she was also thankful for all of the people she met along the way on her crazy Bravo journey.
Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps have been vocal that they think Dorinda is struggling with coming to terms with losing Richard among other things, but they were also clear they wanted to help. When Dorinda’s Blue Stone Manor flooded last year, it seemed to stir up a lot of feelings she had buried when Richard passed away.
Her anger towards Tinsley was clear, and viewers did not respond well to how Dorinda treated Tinsley for no reason. On top of that, her drinking seemed to have increased along with her anger.
Overall, it might be a good time for Dorinda to step back and take care of herself outside of the show. We wish her the best on her future endeavors, and will never forget how she cooked, she cleaned, and she made it nice for us to enjoy!
The Real Housewives of New York is on Thursdays at 9 PM ET!
