RHOP: Monique Samuels says Gizelle Bryant started the affair rumors

We’re only two episodes into The Real Housewives of Potomac’s season 5, but Monique Samuels is working overtime to protect her family.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season 5 is starting to shape up into some serious drama already, on and off-screen.  While at the start, it appeared Monique Samuels was mad at Charisse Jackson Jordan about spreading rumors, she’s now come out to say it was actually Gizelle Bryant.  The shade of it all, really.

The darn rumors

The rumors are something along the lines of Monique having an affair with her trainer, and that her son Chase is not Chris Samuels’ child.  These rumors are damaging and hurtful, especially coming from someone like Gizelle who has been impacted by cheating in her own marriage.  

This information came from an Instagram Live that Monique did on her account this week, with Chris sitting calmly next to her the whole time.  Monique said that Karen Huger called her and said, “I can’t believe Gizelle.”  Apparently, Gizelle planned to use this information against her at the reunion.

Monique noted that if anyone said anything at all about her daughters or any of Jamal Bryant’s “illegitimate” children from outside of their marriage, Gizelle would most certainly go berzerk.  Candiace Dillard apparently co-signed this drama, but didn’t start it.

Now it really gets interesting!

Candiace claims that this rumor idea sprouted during Andy Cohen’s baby shower.  Robyn Dixon, Karen, Ashley Darby, and Gizelle were at the baby shower with Candiace and apparently discussed coming up with this rumor after the event.  Candiace claims she told Monique about this rumor at some point, but was adamant she wasn’t involved in the creation of the rumor.

Unfortunately, the rumor is already out there and circulating.  It hasn’t been brought up on camera yet, but based on all of the off-show-social-media-discussions, it is probably about to be.  Also, Monique’s friend “Gigi” was allegedly involved in all of this somehow.  She even went to production about some of the rumors to try and secure her own spot on the show!

If we know one thing, it isn’t to mess with someone’s family, especially innocent children.  We can’t imagine Monique is going to take these rumors sitting down and it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season pans out.  Especially between Monique and Candiace.
