Is Sandy Yawn going to micromanage Below Deck Mediterranean into a vacation where the pinnacle of the weekend is tablescapes? She just might.
Last week, Lara Flumiani quit before the next charter started on Below Deck Mediterranean and this week, Bugsy is back! Bugsy, whose real name is Christine Drake which makes no sense, was announced by Captain Sandy Yawn. Sandy, who takes personal joy in making Hannah Ferrier miserable, announced that Bugsy is great at table settings which would make her an asset to the team. Sandy’s #1 priority is clearly table settings over everything else.
On top of that, Sandy was very concerned that the laundry room wasn’t organized even though they were one stew down. Again, priorities. It is interesting that Sandy chooses to micromanage certain things but not others. If she was that concerned about the minute details of the interior team, why would she bring on someone knowing it would cause Hannah a headache? But calling out that the laundry room isn’t organized is an important part of her day.
Hindrigo “Kiko” Lorran was busy cooking up some interesting Brazilian food, which also didn’t please Sandy. The guests seem pleased with the meals which is the most important factor. If the guests have not tried a Brazilian dish by Kiko, why wouldn’t he make a fresh fish dish for them?
Sandy seems to enjoy meddling just to meddle, not to actually benefit the guests. Sandy’s priorities are: table settings, toys no one really uses, and laundry rooms no one really sees.
If things are running smoothly and no problems are noted by Sandy, she will whip one up just to throw everyone off. It is a very different experience with Sandy then we have observed with any other captains in past Below Deck seasons. Usually, a smooth day without issues is something they strive for, but Sandy feeds off of drama.
This was only the second charter and with Bugsy arriving to help Hannah…it is going to be a long season.
Below Deck Mediterranean is on Bravo Monday nights at 9 PM ET!
