Real Housewives of Atlanta: The shady bunch delivered on reunion day

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 reunion commenced last night with enough drama and shade to fill a whole season.

The concept of a virtual reunion for The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 was weird at first, but as Andy Cohen said, they can handle it.  The reunion started off with a bang as NeNe Leakes and Kenya Moore went at it right out of the gate.  The shade started early and Kenya commented that Marc Daly has made a full 360-degree change…AKA he has not changed at all.

Andy loved, LOVED, being able to mute NeNe.  The heat was certainly on her a lot of the time.  Kenya called her out for going on a transparent apology tour in order to get the ladies back on her side.  When Porsha Williams asked for the receipts that Kenya promised, Kenya offered a phone call about Porsha’s appearance on the television show, The Celebrity Apprentice.  These were not receipts…It wasn’t even relevant anymore.

Andy asked NeNe if she regretted saying baby Brooklyn was not really Kenya’s baby and NeNe said she would not be apologizing.  Eva Marcille had a lot to say in response to NeNe, even about houses in foreclosure.  But that’s an interesting thing to come at NeNe for considering all of the rumors surrounding Eva’s homes and finances.  Of course, Porsha had NeNe’s back blindly.

Kenya even brought out her marriage certificate to prove she was really married because apparently NeNe questioned that she was actually married to Marc Daly.  NeNe said she didn’t care about the legitimacy of Kenya’s marriage, but she, of course, spoke about it to the blogs.

Cynthia Bailey brought up the fact that NeNe claimed her relationship with Mike Hill was fake as well, which she denied.  Then she slammed her computer shut and walked off!  “You know you need to come back because you weren’t in the episodes.  You need those checks girl,” Kenya said to the blank screen.

Andy asked if Kandi Burruss enjoyed her role as the RHOA bone collector this season and brought the receipts for her collecting.  Kandi said it wasn’t intentional, but since she had a good relationship with the whole cast, she was able to get to the bottom of many issues by bringing them up.

Porsha came for Eva based on her proximity to the bottom of the screen and said she would never forgive her for speaking about baby PJ and the c-section read.  The ladies started screaming at one another while Andy and NeNe looked on in silence.  Eva claimed she didn’t mean it as a read to Porsha but it clearly was.  If you recall, she said PJ looks like Dennis McKinley with a bow…which she does.

Kandi said NeNe uses her friendships to benefit her so it wasn’t lost on Kandi why NeNe was busy apologizing to all of the ladies – she needed them for face time on the show.  There was no resolution in the first part of the reunion, but we have two more parts to hopefully mend some bridges…or just light them on fire.
