Kenya Moore has not had a great return to RHOA this season due to her issues with Nene Leakes and her crumbling marriage.  Was it a bad time to return?

So far on this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore has been struggling.  Her marriage has crumbled before our eyes, she’s done nothing but fight with her castmates, and has, generally, not been a joy to be around.  This season was supposed to be her triumphant return and was even supposed to feature a vow renewal, but instead has mostly featured the start of a divorce.

Kenya has come off jealous and petty, even suggesting her friend Cynthia Bailey was about to get engaged and ruining the surprise moment.  Kenya fans have not faltered in their support, but Kenya critics are having none of it.  Perhaps this wasn’t the right time for a triumphant return?

In the most recent episode, Kenya met with her estate planning attorney to work out the details of some of her assets in the case of divorce.  During her interview, Kenya kept mentioning that there was the chance of divorce and didn’t yet seem convinced it was in the cards for her and Marc Daly.

But then she went on and spilled some more secrets about the doomed relationship.  Kenya wasn’t even “allowed” to speak to Marc’s family, including his mom!  For all of the red flags clearly waving in her face, Kenya ignored all of them.

Nene Leakes made a good point, albeit hypocritical coming from Nene, Kenya has been extra nasty to her castmates all season (see: The Cookie Lady, Cynthia’s engagement)  She can dish it out, but she certainly can’t take it.  If she was hurting so much, would it have been that hard to just be a bit nicer to her former friends?

Instead, Kenya came at all of the girls with extra negativity.  It was hard to watch her come for each of her so-called-friends throughout the season when they were trying to be supportive of her.

Kenya certainly went through a lot this season as far as entertaining storylines go, but it might have benefitted her to wait to come back.  Viewers love a redemption storyline…and this was not it.
