In the name of pure speculation, what are the odds that Brandi Glanville completely fabricated the Denise Richards rumor for more RHOBH screen time?

At this point, it seems like Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville didn’t even spend that much time together in the new season but their fight is a prominent storyline for RHOBH.  Based on what we know about the fight and Denise sending the cease and desist to Brandi, do we think the girls interacted that much before Brandi threw out the rumor?  Was Brandi just brought on to stir the pot with Denise to get more time on air?

Filming for the tenth season of the show started towards the end of summer 2019.  Brandi confirmed she was joining the show again around November, and the cast trip to Rome was around the end of November, based on Denise’s Instagram post for Garecelle’s birthday that showed them on a plane.  Rumors started coming out at the beginning of December that Denise wanted to skip the trip, but she ended up going.

At the end of December 2019, Brandi tweeted out that she had been “Denise’d.”  We still don’t know what that means, but one can assume it had to do with the cease and desist.

The cease and desist was in reference to Brandi claiming that Denise and Aaron Phypers have an open marriage and that Brandi and Denise have had some sort of relationship in the past.  In the trailer, Brandi is seen telling the women, “She’s not who she pretends to be.”  Thus far, there has been no confirmation that this is true.  It’s also very on-brand for Brandi to claim something like this to get back in the news.

But from what we’ve seen in the past, Brandi has no credibility.  Is Brandi so desperate that she would try to come between someone’s marriage?  Don’t answer that.

So does Denise sending the cease and desist lend credence to the rumor that they had a relationship, or is it a normal response to a false rumor?  I guess we’ll find out in April.
