While Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright were scrambling to find a less hateful pastor, Nathalie Zapata went to visit Lisa Vanderpump at Villa Rosa.

Lisa Vanderpump was set to be at Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s wedding before her mother passed away.  Once Lisa sat them down, she let the couple know she was probably taking off to England to deal with her mom’s passing.  Nathalie Zapata, one of her SUR managers, came over with flowers to offer her condolences.

Lisa mentioned that her mom, Jean Vanderpump, was a member of Mensa, a group for people with an IQ in the top 2%  of the population.  She also said that her mom could solve a Rubik’s cube in 30 seconds!  Lisa revealed that her mom passed suddenly from deep vein thrombosis, or DVT.  Her mom passed in June of 2019.

Though IQ is not a trait passed down genetically, Lisa has always seemed a little bit more calculated with her actions than the rest of the group.  I wonder if she can solve a Rubik’s cube in 30 seconds, too?

That wasn’t her only major loss, either.  Lisa’s brother, Mark, was “found unresponsive at his home in Gloucestershire, England, on April 30, 2018, surrounded by tables and whiskey,” according to PEOPLE.  A local paper, Gloucestershire Live, mentioned the death was accidental and that Mark “died after an argumentative exchange of texts with his fiancee.”

It was a hard year for Lisa that was only compounded with the antics of all of her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmates.  When Lisa announced she was leaving the show, it didn’t come as a surprise to many.  Lisa had not been filming with the group at all and instead had filmed some scenes alone at her home.

But if it were me, I probably would have done the same thing.  Taking two majors losses in such a short period of time would be hard for anyone, let alone someone on a reality television show.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be back later this year on Bravo.
