After four seasons on RHOD, LeeAnne Locken announced that she was leaving the show to focus on her family and her philanthropic efforts.
As first reported by PEOPLE, LeeAnne Locken is not coming back to The Real Housewives of Dallas for the fifth season. LeeAnne had an interesting and volatile season where she was accused of being racist and making intolerant remarks about her co-star, Kary Brittingham.
LeeAnne told PEOPLE, “The last four years have been a trolley-slapping good time but after much consideration, I have made the personal decision to step away from RHOD.” LeeAnne thanked the fans and reiterated that her pantyliner was still exhausted.
LeeAnne went on to say she was stepping back to focus on her family and her philanthropy, which was what brought her to the show. When first filming for the show, as the cast members were told that the premise revolved around charities. If you watch season one, they endlessly talk about charities and who does more charity work for the community.
LeeAnne had some great moments on the show, but her spiral downward was hard to watch. Andy Cohen made it clear he did not appreciate her antics during the season four reunion. Andy isn’t in charge of hiring and firing these days, but viewers were not happy with what LeeAnne had to say about Kary, calling her “Mexican” multiple times in a derogatory fashion.
LeeAnne shared her wedding with viewers last season and famously had no food at her wedding. Kary told Us Weekly that the wedding was “so hot and they had no food.”
The Real Housewives of Dallas will be back on Bravo later this year.
