The Real Housewives of Orange County finale is upon us – how far have some of the wives come this season?  Not very far, but you can find Tamra in a bush.

The Real Housewives of Orange County finale was last night, and it was a doozy.  The main act of the night was Vicki Gunvalson’s engagement and the subsequent engagement party.  Vicki was dressed to impress in some very country attire – complete with matching cowboy boots and a lovely little hat.  Shannon Storms Beador dubbed the event country western cowboy chic or something along those ridiculous lines.  The decor was lovely and Shannon did a great job decorating.  Vicki spent the night telling Steve Lodge how much she loved him, and Steve seemed to avoid her altogether.  Mazel!

The adventures of Tamra and Shannon

Tamra Judge spent the night taking shots of tequila and shrieking, which ultimately left her sobbing in a shrub by the end of the night.   Tamra blames Kelly Dodd for the lawsuit which really has nothing to do with Kelly, though she did insert herself into the situation for a moment.  During filming, Kelly tagged Jim Bellino and apparently angered the judge presiding over the case.  Whoops!

Tamra mentioned that the lawsuit, which stemmed from Tamra and Shannon speaking poorly about Jim on a podcast, has cost her $300,000.  The lesson?  Maybe don’t talk about people so much, Tamra.  Kelly basically spent the night telling Tamra she had nothing to do with the lawsuit and standing around.

Earlier this year, Shannon denied defaming Jim and asked the judge to have Jim reimburse her the $2220,000 she spent on legal fees.  Shannon was awarded $138,000 and the judge dismissed the case, according to People.  Shannon finalized her divorce this year and is working on moving forward.  Her Real for Real Cuisine on QVC is doing well, and so is she.

Followed by Emily, Kelly and Gina

I was reminded last night what a gem and great addition Emily Simpson is to The Real Housewives of Orange County cast.  She has a useless husband who failed the bar for the third time, needs a hip replacement surgery, is raising two small kids basically on her own, and she has a great attitude and looks great while doing it.  Her husband, Shane Simpson, is still a dork.

Kelly is no longer dating Dr. Brian who appearing in the finale but is engaged to Rick Leventhal after a whirlwind three-month romance.  The pair seems to be doing well and plans to wed sometime next year.

Gina Kirschenheiter is no longer reconciling with her ex, Matt Kirschenheiter, after he assaulted her shortly after filming ended.  Their divorce is scheduled to end on midnight, December 31, 2019, and she has a protection order in place to keep him away from her and the kids.  Hopefully, Gina’s story and time on RHOC isn’t over because she deserves to tell the rest of her story…

Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion is on Bravo tonight, December 18, 2019, at 10:00 PM.
