Kate Chastain has been the chief stew on Below Deck forever now, but was this her worst behavior on the franchise, or can she come back from it?

On this episode of Below Deck, everyone hates Kate Chastain…but they are sort of justified in it.  While last week had Rhylee Gerber and Kevin Dobson fighting over appetizers, Kate has taken all of the anger away from everyone else.  What a lady!  Initially, Kate and Simone about her capabilities as second stew.  Kate wasn’t very nice with her response, though Simone has obviously been trying to improve.

Then, Kate and Kevin get into it about wine in the cooler.  Once the crew starts to drink at the resort, things quickly go downhill.  There is a lot of alcohol being consumed in the pool when two dancers arrive to add some entertainment.  Ashton Pienaar quickly checks out and his drunken alter ego, Smashton, arrives.

While Simone has her arms wrapped around Tanner and they are enjoying the day, Tanner decides to go awkwardly dance with one of the dancers on their platform.  Tanner, have you no brain?  He said Simone allowed him to go dance with the girls.  Tanner.  HAVE YOU NO BRAIN?  That’s like girl 101.  If she says you can go dance with the girl, you seriously better not go dance with the girl.

And finally, we get to everyone hating Kate.  Kate jumps out of the moving van when they get back near the dock after Brian called her a bitch.  At this point in the night, everyone is wasted.  When the crew arrives back to the boat, Captain Lee is in the galley waiting for the crew.  Kate asks what size pants Lee wears, and starts tossing the other pants on the floor.

Obviously Lee doesn’t love that, but knows better than to try to reason with any of the drunken crew at that time.  Though Kate may have been in the wrong for this episode, I think she is often justified in her actions.  She’s a lone woman surrounded by men in the industry who gets a lot of heat for everything she does.  Does everyone hate her?  Certainly not, but I’m sure it can feel that way at times.
