The Real Housewives of Dallas: The best part of Travis Hollman’s party

The Real Housewives of Dallas celebrated a milestone birthday on this episode!  Travis Hollman had a mid-life crisis party and the outfits were great.

Stephanie Hollman from The Real Housewives of Dallas threw her husband a crazy birthday party to celebrate turning 50.  But first, Stephanie and Brandi Redmond take Travis and Bryan Redmond to Medieval Times for dinner and a show.  They are all gifted crowns before getting knighted.  I could watch the Stephanie and Brandi show all night.

On to the party!

Stephanie was “hot mess” Peggy Bundy from Married with Children, while Travis was just decked out in Gucci, aka not “age-appropriate” clothing.  His terrible outfit was $5,000.  Brandi dressed as a playboy bunny, Bryan was…in denim.  Brandi threw some shade saying anyone who wears a playboy bunny outfit obviously wants attention (ahem…Kyle Richards).

D’Andra Simmons dressed as her mother, Mama Dee.  LeeAnne Locken was herself and Kary Brittingham dressed up as some kind of raver or something, before changing into Snooki.  I didn’t get really understand that, but her accent was worth it.  “Hey..you all. Party’s here.”  No, Kary.  There were fireworks, lots of cheese, and she even hired Rodney Atkins to perform at the party (for $75,00!).  Mama Dee got housed at the party and took off her shirt.  It was a glimpse into D’Andra’s future.

But then things got deep

It is really just Kameron vs herself.  Kameron Westcott spent the episode talking about her cast members and not joining in on the fun.  Stephanie sat down with her mom to discuss how she feels that she isn’t good enough some times, and referenced how Kameron makes her feel “not worthy of friendship.”  I think the juxtaposition of Kameron joking about how she thought it would be funny to hit Stephanie with an arrow and Stephanie crying about how she feels put down by Kameron said a lot.  Kameron has been clear she thinks Brandi and Stephanie can be “trashy.”

But Stephanie’s mom was right:  Kameron is trying to manipulate the situation to force Stephanie into doing what she wants.  But Stephanie isn’t doing that and went on to say, she is “someone that seeks peace over resolution.”  If Kameron only wants to manipulate Stephanie into being her friend, it isn’t worth the pain it causes Stephanie.
