RHOC: Vicki Gunvalson is suing NBC and Kelly Dodd?
By Amanda Cline
A wild day for Vicki Gunvalson! The RHOC “friend of” decided to sue NBC Universal and Kelly Dodd under a pseudonym in order to alter an upcoming episode.
Vicki Gunvalson was suing NBC and her RHOC co-star, Kelly Dodd, at the start of the day Friday, but apparently has already dropped the case against NBC. According to TMZ, Kelly was shouting at Vicki on a cast trip to Key West earlier this year, and Vicki says they are damaging to her reputation if aired. Allegedly, the three phrases were:”You prey on older people,” “You are a con woman,” “You engaged in ‘fraud.'”
Based on previous lawsuits, the housewives are not allowed to sue one another. This lawsuit was brought by a woman named Jane Roe (LOL) who happens to run an insurance business, perhaps COTO Insurance and Financial Services? In the Bravo First Look video for the season, you see Kelly say, “You are a con woman. A crook.” Whoops!
Jane, or Vicki, is apparently asking for those three phrases to be edited out of the episode – not for the episode to be totally scrapped. TMZ updated their report to say that Vicki dropped the suit agains NBC Universal already, but is still suing Kelly. I’m not sure what kind of leverage Kelly has over production, but I don’t think it is much.
This also doesn’t bode well for Vicki’s future as a full-time housewife. I don’t think Andy loves when his housewives try to sue anyone, which is why there is a clause in place that usually blocks inter-cast-lawsuits. Vicki has said some pretty terrible things on the show herself (about Kelly and others) IN ADDITION TO the whole Brooks fake-cancer-situation that left her credibility mostly nonexistent.

Does Vicki think rocking the proverbial Bravo boat in such a way is going to benefit her? I can’t wait to see how Kelly responds…
