Love is dead! The Below Deck Mediterranean couple broke it off pretty much as soon as the season ended.
Aesha Scott went on the Bravo Aftershow with Anastasia Surmava and spilled all the beans. Aesha said that after filming for Below Deck Mediterranean was over and the cast left Sirocco, Jack Stirrup asked her to come to London with him to meet his family. He was a bit evasive with the dates and the actual plans but said something about a wedding.
At that time Aesha said she noticed Jack’s ex-girlfriend watching her stories on Instagram and got suspicious. She checked out the other girl’s Instagram stories which happened to feature her and Jack on a train headed to a wedding in London. Aesha said, “It was just such a stab in the back.”
Aesha said she finally got ahold of Jack to break things off, and he pretended like nothing had happened. Then to make matters worse, Jack’s girlfriend (?) or ex-girlfriend (?) started texting Aesha asking her to stay away from her boyfriend. I mean, we all saw Jack ask Aesha to be his girlfriend on television soooo…I’m blaming this one on Jack.
Hannah Ferrier was on the aftershow as well and corroborated the story we all saw. Hannah said Aesha wanted to keep things casual due to the transient nature of working on a boat in addition to the fact that they lived on different continents, but Jack pushed the relationship. Captain Sandy had a few words to add: “I don’t like Jack.”
Aesha said they don’t talk and that’s okay, and Jack seemed to give the same story when he was asked. Except that Jack said, “It just wasn’t reality,” which sounds suspiciously like his girlfriend’s Instagram caption of the pair that said, “When reality ain’t realistic.”
In a confessional interview at the start of the season, Jack mentioned to us (the audience) that he had a girlfriend back home but they broke it off prior to filming. I guess he never mentioned that tidbit to Aesha…Good luck to Jack and the other girl!
Below Deck Mediterranean is over, but Below Deck starts October 7, 2019, at 9 PM ET on Bravo.
