Shep Rose, Southern Charm star, filmed himself harassing a homeless woman on Instagram live the other night – and thinks it’s okay to do so.
Shep’s attitude has been getting him into trouble lately, both on and off Southern Charm. Most recently on the show, Shep called Madison Lecroy a “white trash hairdresser” and fully stood by his observation when called out about it. It’s clear Shep only dislikes Madison because she turned him down.
In the story, you see a woman sitting on the sidewalk in the East Village in New York without shoes on, next to large bags of cans. Obviously minding her own business and working to collect cans all day. Shep says to her, “Look at me! Nice cans. All the cans that you have!” The woman has her hand over her face and is yelling “No! no!” throughout the short encounter.
When confronted over social media, Shep responded by saying he will exploit people however he sees fit. Shep seems to think that because he comes from a good family and doesn’t have to work for a living, he is completely above everyone else.
This afternoon, Shep responded on Twitter.
Since the incident, Shep has lost 3,000 followers on Instagram. People have been tagging Andy, Patricia Altschul, and Whitney Sudler-Smith, friend and producer of the show, trying to get their attention. Shep knows he won’t get fired, so it doesn’t matter.
Shep’s crappy behavior is not new, but it is getting worse. Since the start of Southern Charm, he sure has taken a tumble – both in looks and attitude. He used to be cute and lighthearted, but these days, he looks rough. Rough like he’s spent the last 20 years drinking heavily and not taking care of himself in any manner (because he has). His attitude has worn down with his looks.
What’s next for Shep? Running for U.S. Senate and losing? So charming!
Southern Charm will be back next Wednesday at 8 PM ET on Bravo.
