Captain Lee Rosbach of Below Deck fame tragically lost his son on July 22.  Joshua Rosbach was 42 years old.

Below Deck’s Captain Lee Rosbach, tragically lost his youngest son, Joshua Lee Rosbach, last week due to a drug overdose.  Joshua Rosbach passed away in his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, last Monday.

In Lee’s Instagram post, he mentioned that Joshua battled addition problems for more than 20 years. He went on to say, “Addiction is an insidious disease that knows no social status or geographic boundaries.”

According to an obituary posted, Joshua was born on January 19, 1977, and he was loved by everyone he came into contact with.

Joshua loved animals and his family has asked that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Humane Society of Broward County.

According to the site, Josh is survived by his parents, his sister, brother, nieces, and nephews, along with “numerous aunts uncles and cousins. Many dear and cherished friends.”

Captain Lee signed off his own Instagram tribute by urging others to get help if they need it, and to help others by any means.

Captain Lee has been on the yachting series since 2013.  He has been captain for all six seasons and is almost universally loved by viewers and cast members alike.  His wife, Mary Anne, always joins him for Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Though Captain Lee does not talk about her personal life on the show, we have gotten to know him well over the years.

Captain Lee is an integral part of the show, along with its offshoot, Below Deck Mediterranean, and the Bravo universe.

Rest in peace, Joshua.

Below Deck Mediterranean is on Bravo Monday nights at 9 PM ET.
