Below Deck Mediterranean is back with a familiar face in “All Hail the Queen.”  Housewives adjacent queen, Jackie Siegel, has taken over Sirocco.

This week’s Below Deck Mediterranean charter guest is a very special guest from Orlando, The Queen of Versailles.  Jackie Siegel’s husband, David Siegel, hail from the land of timeshares, aka Westgate Resorts. Captain Sandy hails from Fort Lauderdale, so she actually knows the Siegel fam from her philanthropic interests.

If you’ve never seen The Queen of Versailles, I urge you to stop what you’re doing and watch.  Jackie and David are famous for building their home, Versailles, an 85,000 square foot monstrosity that began construction in 2004 – and has yet to be completed.

You can catch the movie on Bravo sometimes in the middle of the night, sometimes on a balmy Sunday morning around 6 AM. Or just on Amazon Prime.

Just from the preference sheet meeting alone, Hannah knows what’s coming with these guests.

Enter Jezabob

Jezabob, João’s angry alter ego, was out and in rare form last night.  Try as he might to keep ol’ Jez’ hidden, he can only pretend to be level-headed and nice for so long.

He yelled at Anastasia, at Travis, at Aesha. He gets up and apologizes, but it is too late. Jezabob outed himself to the crew.

João is not pleased that Anastasia accepted the position as chef, because she “is not a 7-star chef.”  Who is a 7-star chef?  What does a 7-star chef make?

Mila certainly was not a 7-star chef, and halfway through the yachting season off the coast of France, where exactly does one pick up a 7-star chef?

The new stew arrives, her name is June, and she does both interior and exterior on the boats.  It feels like this is setting the crew up for some major drama later on.

What if Anastasia can’t hack it in the kitchen?  She no longer has a spot on the interior team since June is here now.  Will they finally bring in Chef Ben?!

Dramatic music

Either way, this is a catch 22.  Hannah, unfortunately, agrees with João about Anastasia’s decision.  With Anastasia in the kitchen, both interior and exterior are down a person.

Interior is back to a full team with the addition of June, but Hannah is now required to train June. Travis is still assisting Anastasia in the kitchen, so the exterior remains down one person.  June doesn’t even have a crew page on BravoTV.com yet, so color me suspicious.

Had Anastasia turned down the position, interior and exterior would be whole again, and they could have just found a new chef to slide into that position.
