Oz, the Australian themed restaurant owned and operated RHOP’s own, Ashley Darby and Michael Darby, is set to close after this weekend.

Eater Washington DC ran a story this morning noting that the DC-based restaurant is going to close its doors after four years.  Oz is frequently featured on RHOP with the ladies dining and arguing in the establishment, but no more!

Ashley Darby and Michael Darby are expecting their first child together any day now, so I suppose now is as good of a time as any to abandon the kangaroo skewers.

Michael was quoted in a statement to Eater as saying:

"“We are replacing one Aussie baby with a new Aussie baby, as we prepare to welcome our little boy,”"

On the same day of this announcement, Ashley has announced a new clothing line, Zen Gem by Ashley.  She calls this an inspirational athleisure line.

Ashley has held yoga classes at Oz before, so I suppose all of this makes sense in some way.

Ashley told Washingtonian, that the name Zen Gem is about embracing the Gemini in all of us:

"“It’s about the duality, the two sides, the external and the internal thoughts we have and finding a way to help those things find balance,”"

Some of the shirts have phrases such as: “The pearl is in the oyster and the oyster is at the bottom of the sea. Dig deep” and, “You have a body. You are your soul.”

The oyster shirt will run you $25, the body and soul tank is $28.  Check out the other three shirts here, at ZenGembyAshley.com.

Zen Gem by Ashley launches June 28, so get those sweet tanks in your cart before they sell out!

You can catch Oz throughout the rest of the week, but the establishment will close after brunch on  Sunday, June 30.
