Vanderpump Rules cast member Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor get married this weekend and now Lance Bass is going to officiate in place of Lisa Vanderpump.
Last week, Vanderpump Rules temporarily stopped filming due to the loss of Lisa Vanderpump’s mother, Jean Vanderpump.
Lisa flew back to England to be in town to help plan the services, and be with family. Unfortunately for Vanderpump Rules cast members, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are getting married this weekend and Lisa was planning on officiating the wedding.
This is only after Brittany and Jax decided their pastor, Ryan Dotson, would no longer officiate.
According to US weekly, Lisa made a statement earlier in June, saying that Jax and Brittany were very shocked to hear about Ryan’s statements, and that:
"“They are dealing with this today. This attitude is totally not acceptable to them and changes are forthcoming.”"
Though Brittany and Jax have known for a long time their pastor was a hateful person who does not approve of homosexuality and openly preaches against it, but it was only until they received backlash about his statements that they did anything about it. Thus, Lisa stepped in to officiate.
Now, in a show of faith, and good PR, the beer cheese lovin’ lovers have asked Lance Bass to step in for Lisa, who was stepping in for Ryan. Isn’t love grand?
In case you missed it, Jax and Brittany have had, like, at least 10 bachelor and bachelorette parties between the two. In multiple states.
Finally, this weekend is the official wedding for Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright. I expect it to be an incredible show of Kentucky flair mixed with Jax and his chic Michigan roots, if he’s actually from Michigan like his name is actually Jax.
I do expect Taco Bell to sponsor some of the wedding, along with a Meemaw’s beer cheese fountain, some Just Add X by Jax Taylor cocktail mixers, and I fully anticipate Jax being in an all-white suit. I look forward to seeing how accurate this is.
The Vanderpump Rules wedding is this Saturday, June 29, 2019. Mazel, or something.
