Southern Charm: 3 things we love about last night’s episode, “In Sew Deep”

Southern Charm is such a joy to watch now that Thomas Ravenel is no longer on it.  Last night’s episode was great, here are three reasons why.

1. Kathryn is doing her best, even if it’s not the best

Kathryn Dennis definitely got some heat in last weeks’ Southern Charm episode for going missing on her friends.  She explains that in the last three years, she’s had no structure in her life.  Between having babies, being moved from house to house, and dealing with the legal drama with her ex, Thomas, it’s been hard for her to deal with the day-to-day stuff.

Danni Baird calls her out on her recent behavior, and Kathryn doesn’t appreciate it.

I think Danni only wants what’s best for Kathryn, so when she calls her out for being shady, she is doing it out of love.  I’m not defending Kathryn’s shady behavior, I’m just saying we should look at the bigger picture.  She’s definitely not being her best self.

I just need to say that forcing people to grind their own beans to make coffee in the morning is cruel and unusual punishment.

2. The revenge sex

Austen Kroll and Madison Lecroy are no longer together, because Austen cheated on Madison, and Madison cheated on Austen.  In case you haven’t been watching, they show the video at least once every episode.  Last night was about twenty minutes in.

Madison tells Patricia Altschul that it’s all fine because she got Austen back for cheating.

Patricia responds to that by saying, “We didn’t have revenge sex back in my day, we have revenge marriage.  Which made much more of an impact.”

The situation must not have affected the pair too much, as they’ve been hanging out since.  Madison and Patricia, I mean.  Not Madison and Austen.  That’s over.

3. Craig

That’s it, just Craig.

In case you are unaware of Craig’s love for pillows and sewing, it’s a thing.  Craig launched his “sewing lifestyle brand,” Sewing Down South earlier this year.  He’s been having trouble keeping up with orders because his crab pillow is just so popular.

Craig Conover wants to have a pillow party and ambush his friends to help him sew.   Much like Craig, I also bring Chick-fil-a nuggets to parties.  I also wear eyeliner to parties. I am Craig.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Craig is not making these pillows.  His assistant, Anna-Hayward, is the pillow crafter in this situation.

His pillow party yields exactly 0 pillows, and he has about 100 orders to fill. Classic Craig.

Either way, we love his love for pillows, even if it makes no sense at all.

We’re rooting for you, Craig and Kathryn!  Craft pillows!  Take care of babies! Do your thing!

Southern Charm will be back next Wednesday at 8 PM ET on Bravo.
