Summer House reached peak “don’t do this in the summer house” last night with the engagement of Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula.

The Summer House season is coming to an end already.  On last week’s episode, Stassi Schroeder gave Kyle Cooke some hard love by telling him that it might not be the best time to get engaged.

Kyle asks if Amanda will marry her and she says, “Are you kidding me? Are you f-ing kidding me?”

Alas, Kyle listens to no one and is not kidding her.  They get engaged.  I am thrilled.

In other news

Carl Radke helps cast member Lindsay Hubbard move into a new home for her business, Hubb House PR.

Kyle asks Amanda Batula’s father for his permission to marry his daughter, and he doesn’t really say yes, he also doesn’t really say no.  He just sort of laughs, says “uhh…” and then it cuts to a commercial.

They were definitely not pleased when Amanda told them that Kyle had cheated on her and didn’t even remember it. So cute for a 34 year old dude who makes a sparkling tea beverage for work.

Anyway, he sort of says it’s okay and the Loverboy party continues.

Hannah Berner, Paige Desorbo, and Jordan Verroi make the trek out to the Summer House, this time with a coffin sitting next to Paige in the back seat.  Party decor, you know?

These crazy kids throw an end of summer party that resembles a funeral.  Jordan wrote a poem for the occasion:

R.I.P. to the summer, you’ll definitely be missed,

like a 4 AM Paige and Carl pantry kiss.

the only twins we saw this summer were Lindsay’s floating about,

while we shared tons of memories extremely blacked out.

Danielle, my mom would love you,

Paige brought tons of clothes,

I made out with three girls, but then again who knows?

so hold up your glasses,

to summer lets toast,

and raise hell today with the ones we love the most.

Carl, Carl, Carl

Carl decided the Summer House end of summer party was the perfect time to ask Kirsten (who?) to be “with him.”  He says “it’s easy, less work,” which is honestly, peak Carl.  The most Carl thing Carl has done all season. He just got done swing dancing with Paige, btw.

Kirsten isn’t even really hanging out at the party, she sat in his room half the time.  He is definitely slurring his words as he tells her he is 33 and he wants to be “with her.”  I love this show.

Summer House has been a breath of fresh air from the dumpster fire that is Vanderpump Rules these days, and I will miss it.  It has filled a void in my heart where Kristen and Stassi used to reside.
