The ladies of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are back for “the show must go on,” and we are wondering – does it really have to?

Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been polarizing from the start.  Between Lisa Vanderpump being MIA most of the time, Lucy Lucy Apple Juicy (LLAJ) dividing fans, and Dorit Kemsely just existing – this entire season has been strange.

Staying within the strange theme, this recap will go from the end of the episode to the beginning, for extra dramatization.

In the last 30 seconds of last night’s episode, “The show must go on,” Lisa Vanderpump took a lie detector test to clear her name from the drama surrounding Lucy Lucy Apple Juicy (LLAJ) and Dorit Kemsley.  I do believe, and correct me if I’m wrong, that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has officially jumped the shark.

"According to Wikipedia, “Jumping the shark is the moment when something that was once popular that no longer warrants the attention it previously received makes an attempt at publicity, which only serves to highlight its irrelevance.”"

Don’t get me wrong, I love Lisa Vanderpump – there I said it. But at this point, it feels like we are watching two different shows.  The Lisa Vanderpump kitchen remodel show, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  I want my housewives in harmony again!

The episode ended without us actually seeing the lie detector test results, so we have that to look forward to for next week. Kyle Richards seems as shocked as we are about the test.

The rest of the episode, and housewives, will go on

Erika Jayne has a performance at The Globe in LA with many of the RHOBH housewives in attendance.  Even her husband, Tom Girardi, is in the audience!  The sound went out at one point during her performance, but it came back on eventually and she finished strong.  Lisa Rinna wore a long ponytail for the occasion, everyone else wore black.

RHOBH wedding number two of the season

Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp are at the nail salon getting ready for Camille Grammer’s wedding in Hawaii.  Kyle is a bridesmaid, and admitted she ordered her dress too late.

Camille keeps saying how much she wants all the housewives at her wedding, and how she invited all the RHOBH ladies but let’s be real – she invited all of the RHOBH ladies because she was contractually obligated to do so. Not out of the kindness of her little heart. How pernicious.

Teddi mentions to Kyle that they have to wear a bathing suit for a canoe competition, whatever a canoe competition is.  Kyle laughs and says, “I don’t wanna wear a bathing suit right now….I’m tired of this abuse.”  I feel you on that, Kyle.

Denise Richards is off to Miami to work, while her daughter, Sami, is off to her homecoming dance.  Sami is going to take pictures in her nice heels, and wear sneakers to the dance. A girl after my own heart.

This episode was pretty random, it seems disjointed without Lisa Vanderpump in the mix.  Next week we will get to see Camille’s Hawaiian wedding, and hopefully, we will get the results of this lie detector test.
