RHOBH star Ken Todd admits that he flew off the handle during the friendship ending fight between wife Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards.
Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) star Ken Todd is feeling a little bit remorseful after screaming his now infamous “Goodbye Kyle!” during RHOBH at Kyle Richards. What started as a highly suspicious Puppygate scandal ended in sadness, as Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump are no longer friends.
RHOBH star Ken Todd: ‘Goodbye Kyle’ regrets
After twelve years of having each others backs, the duo had a massive blowup over suspicions that Lisa Vanderpump sold a story about Dorit Kemsley regarding her puppy to the press, with Ken Todd right caught in the middle, as People reported.
As Vanderpump and Richards yelled, Ken got involved, defending his wife and screaming at Kyle:
“You’re not her friend,” he said to Richards.
"You’re supposed to be her friend. You cannot be her friend when you say something like that. She would never say that about you. You’re a f****g liar and you’re not my friend or her friend. So you get out. Please go. Please go. Join the gang … ganging up on her. … Twelve years of friendship, done!"
As Kyle walked out the door, Todd shouted “Goodbye Kyle!” which went on to spawn the “Goodbye Kyle!” challenge, wherein partakers do their best Ken Todd impression while shouting “Goodbye Kyle!”
What was the fallout from the RHOBH fight?
Kyle Richard’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, called Ken’s behavior “totally uncalled for”, and Kyle herself claimed she was just trying to be a friend to Lisa. Lisa said that she did not appreciate her so-called best friend coming to her house to call her a liar. Todd himself later admitted to being a bit reactive and seeing red during the fight.
On Tuesday’s episode, Lisa Vanderpump insinuated that she had never lost her temper at someone like that before, and that this fight made her realize she can’t have Kyle in her life anymore.
RHOBH star Lisa Vanderpump gets candid
Lisa said that having Kyle be “so aggressive” was challenging, and that she has no desire for that type of relationship.
“I wouldn’t love somebody that I would say preys on the weak, is manipulative, is a liar,” added Vanderpump, noting that she would “detest” that sort of person.
She went on to not invite anyone except Denise Richards to her birthday, which saddened her even more as she thought her and Kyle had reached a peaceful point in their friendship.
“It really makes me feel sad,” Richards said. “I have had issues in the past and we have had things happen. But if I’m going to be honest, I still love her. …. She just makes it so hard to ever repair things because she shuts down. She holds her friendship as ransom. I’m sad.”
As most things RHOBH go, it ain’t all bad news… The #GoodbyeKyle meme is still going strong, with Kris Jenner spotted on Lisa Rinna’s Instagram hopping in on the fun, poking fun at what easily could be the fight of the season.
