Bethenny and now-ex husband Jason Hoppy were married for three years.

But what began with hope for a happily-ever-after romance soon became rumors of a troubled relationship and soon turned into a divorce that lasted almost four years, according to People.

Frankel and Hoppy initially seemed to have it all, with successful careers and a beautiful little daughter.

But as eventually revealed in the bitter divorce proceedings, behind those glittering doors of their perfectly furnished home, Bethenny and Jason struggled to prevent their relationship from falling apart.

Frankel finally was able to put it behind her…well, sort of…with the finalization of divorce.

Bethenny Frankel finds her true love…and heartbreak

Bethenny thought that Dennis Shields was, at last, her true love.

Shields even got down on one knee and proposed to the RHONY star, complete with an engagement ring, according to People.

And making the proposal even more special, Dennis gave Frankel’s daughter Bryn, 8, her very own ring.

But in August came heartbreak with the news that Shields was dead at age 51. Rumors swirled of an alleged overdose.

And Real Housewives of New York showed the SkinnyGirl entrepreneur’s heartbreak, with Bethenny unable to control her tears and emotions when asked by producers to talk about Dennis on camera.

Bethenny Frankel slowly begins dating again

Gradually, Frankel has returned to the dating scene.

Her first date after the tragic early death of Shields was with a film producer, Paul Bernon, reports People. He also is a real estate developer.

But the loss that Bethenny experienced when Dennis died continues to be felt, sources told the publication. We wish her well, and hope that Bethenny Frankel finds love once more.
