Dennis Shields was with Bethenny Frankel at the RHONY reunion

Dennis Shields was dedicated to Bethenny Frankel. On Twitter, she recently revealed that he was there with her at the reunion special.

Dennis Shields passed away suddenly on Friday morning after accidentally overdosing on prescription medication. His estranged wife Jill revealed on Instagram that he had been struggling with back pain and it’s possible that his medication was painkillers to help him cope with the pain. Needless to say, Bethenny was devastated when she learned of his death.

The Real Housewives of New York star decided to stay at home for a few weeks as she learned how to cope with the sudden loss. As it turns out, they were growing closer and Dennis Shields had been there for her during the reunion special. He had been there for Frankel, as she fought with Carole Radziwill to make sense of her broken friendship with her.

It’s clear that they were still very close, including how he was there for her as she moved through one broken friendship. Bethenny had tried to make peace of the friendship, but it was lost.

On Twitter, Frankel revealed that Dennis Shields had been with her at the reunion special, waiting behind the scenes and being a supportive friend. If they were just friends, one can imagine he wouldn’t spend hours waiting and watching the reunion unfold.

Carole seemed to throw lots of shade at Bethenny. She didn’t talk about Dennis Shields during the reunion special, and it would have been a bad look if she had slammed him, as Dennis passed away before the reunion special could air. But now, Frankel is realizing just how special Dennis was for her.
