RHOBH season finale: It’s all water under the panty-gate bridge

The RHOBH (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) finale aired last week and it seems like old drama just doesn’t die.

Just my personal opinion here but seems like the seasons keep getting shorter and shorter. Or maybe, I just crave for more fights and drama from this particular group of gals. RHOBH never disappoints in providing scenarios and issues that make you want to say “WTH is going on here?”

The season finale gave the fans a sense of things not really being settled. Most seasons I tend to observe a finality with some issues. Not this time. In fact, Kyle Richards ended up chiming in with Dorit Kelsey to bring up the subject of panty-gate again! I thought they were “over that” and had “moved on.” I put those two phrases in parentheses because when I hear them I tend to cringe a bit. I was under the impression this issue was NOT an issue anymore but, apparently, once again, I am wrong. How many seasons will this panty business keep going on? Talk about beating a dead horse – this qualifies for THAT phrase! Chances are, the panties will show up again. Most likely at the reunion (which I love to watch) and probably next season also.

I was amazed that Lisa Rinna was normal this season. No screaming, no strange actions. She just forced herself to sit back and watch the others go to town and squabble without interfering. I found that very refreshing but I do hope she doesn’t extend her normality next season.  A little bit of sarcasm and pot stirring is ok with me.

Doris didn’t slow down one bit this season. She failed to learn how to act properly and stop whining over every little thing. Her worst performance was at the dinner where she shot her mouth off at poor Camille Grammar.  Calling Camille the dreaded C word while meeting Camille’s boyfriend for the first time does not, to me, seem very classy. But, as been said on this show and others, “money does not buy class.”

Dorit is the perfect example of this phrase. I sometimes think Dorit is not quite clear in the head at times. Nor being a physician or psychiatrist, I don’t dare diagnose what her problem is except to say “things are not quite right upstairs” with this chick. She tends to over-dramatize everything. The producers need to tell her to take it down a notch – or maybe two. If she returns next season, it will be interesting to witness what she does to upset most of the fans. Will she still claim the “stirrer of the pot” title or hand it off to another gal?

This season we saw a new Lisa Vanderpump. One, in which, she dished out her nastiness a bit more than the past seasons. Call it “English humor” or “English attitude” but her royal huffiness showed up in full glory this time.  Although I commend her for the work she does with dogs, her other issue was “do I like Kyle better than Teddi”. Such decisions that need to be made. Sigh.

Speaking of Teddi kudos to her for being the only one without “airs” and with some common sense. I hope she returns. She is a breath of fresh air and is not pretentious nor impressed with the others and their lifestyles.

Kyle had nothing to bring to this season except for moving into a new home and sniffling over Lisa Vanderpump’s questionable friendship. As far as I can remember, I do not recall Kyle storming out of the room due to anxiety. Although the horseback riding episode did upset her just a bit.

Finally, Erika Girardi the sleaze you love to hate. Her outfits are outrageous, she is even more outrageous and I don’t see how her husband puts up with her (note he wasn’t shown a whole heck of a lot this season). Her “I Dream of Sleazy” hairdo has got to go. PLEASE.  And,  just thinking of how her “people” got her into the red latex outfit …well, I would rather not have that mental picture, thank you. At least she is one housewife that has let the panty-gate issue be a thing of the past.

So, another season has ended. Looking forward to the next but first, anxiously waiting for the reunion shows. They are always, most of the time, great fun to watch.
