Teddi Jo defends being an accountability coach after Megyn Kelly fat-shaming comments
Teddi Jo Mellencamp came crashing onto the RHOBH scene and it looks like she was a great choice to join the Bravo cast.
After facing off with Dorit about just how rude her lateness really is, Teddi Jo Mellencamp won the hearts of many “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” viewers. It was easy for her, to be honest. Dorit is one of the most disliked housewives of the entire Bravo universe, constantly topping user polls about which housewife needs to move right along into obscurity.
Now Teddi is getting even more support after taking aim at the controversial NBC host Megyn Kelly. Megyn recently said on the Today show that has her stepfather fat shame her when she starts to gain a few points.
“I said to my stepfather, ‘If you see me go to that kitchen one more time, you say, ‘Where are you going, fatass?’ And it worked!” Megyn Kelly exclaimed.
She went on to say that sometimes, women who really want to drop some weight want someone to keep them accountable and to shame them into sticking to their diets.

Well, Teddi Jo Mellencamp wants her fans and followers to know that her role as an accountability coach does not include fat-shaming her clients. Instead, the RHOBH newcomer spike with Glamour about what an accountability coach really does and how those who work for her would never ever call a client a “fatass” like Megyn Kelly suggested.
“Never in a million years would I—or anybody who works for me—put somebody down or shame them,” Mellencamp told Glamour. “Everything comes from a positive, loving place.”
In the interview, Teddi explained that she deals with weight fluctuations and loves to eat. For her, it was about finding balance and making herself stick to that. Her role as an accountability coach happened because of her willingness to work with her friends and to help them overcome obstacles too.

It seems that Teddi Jo Mellencamp really has found her niche and she’s got a lot of success stories to prove it. What Megyn Kelly said about the method of fat-shaming she endures from her stepfather is not the same thing that Teddi does with her clients. They aren’t even in the same realm and it’s clear that she wanted to make sure those who might consider her program know that.
