Siggy Flicker quits Real Housewives of New Jersey!

Siggy Flicker is gracefully walking away from RHONJ after Season 8 and can we really blame her? 

Season 8 of Real Housewives of New Jersey has been brutal for Siggy Flicker. The season started with drama over a cake and it ended with Flicker at odds with the newcomer that she brought to the show. The fights were vicious and the insults were even worse between SIggy and her nemesis Margaret Josephs and now, SIggy is walking away from the Bravo hit after just two seasons.

RHONJ fans were split between Siggy and Margaret for most of the season. In many cases, fans of the show would love one lady while demonizing the actions of the other. Even here at Champagne and Shade, opinions over who was right and who was wrong have been mixed.

Siggy Flicker has been upset with nearly every episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey this season and how she was depicted. She often complained that producers failed to show why she was freaking out on camera and that many times, Margaret would push her buttons in some pretty drastic ways and that the footage didn’t show it.

In her announcement about leaving RHONJ, Siggy didn’t take shots at Margaret, as she easily could have. She actually wished the best for the “powerhouse in pigtails” that ultimately made her want to leave the show. Siggy made the shocking announcement via a statement with The Daily Dish. 

"“After much reflection and Bravo’s support, I have decided that this will be my last season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. I am grateful to the network for allowing me to be part of this successful franchise and wish only the best for Teresa, Melissa, Dolores, Danielle and Margaret. At this time, I want to focus on my beautiful family, my growing business and some exciting new projects.”"

It’s still not clear what projects Siggy Flicker may have coming up but certainly, they will be as fabulous as she is. It really will be sad not having her in future seasons of Real Housewives of New Jersey. However, this was something that many RHONJ fans could see coming.

As much as it pains me to see Siggy Flicker leave Real Housewives of New Jersey, it’s probably time. After a very rocky season where she was painted as the villain, complained about the way her storyline was edited and battled with co-stars over literally everything, Siggy is very obviously not enjoying herself. Farewell, Siggy. You really will be missed.
