Kelly Dodd opens up about staying in her unhappy marriage

Kelly Dodd recently announced her intention to file for divorce from Michael Dodd. 

It has been a long few years for The Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd. Her marriage to Michael Dodd hasn’t been smooth sailing. The two have a daughter together, and Jolie is one of the main reasons Kelly has fought so hard to make it work.

Back in 2012, the two were legally separated. The divorce was never pressed and eventually, they reconciled.

Now, things have gotten tense and Kelly Dodd wants out. Rumors of a tumultuous time between the two have been making their way around social media. Reports of several police visits to the house they live in have been reported. Shortly after Kelly announced her divorce intentions, she took off to Europe.

According to People, Kelly Dodd is finally speaking out about her troubled marriage. Last night on RHOC, she talked about how hard it was for her to watch her parents struggle in their marriage. They stayed miserable together for 30 years and now, she is questioning hanging on to Michael for Jolie’s sake.

Kelly has been holding on so that her daughter doesn’t have to be shuffled back and forth, but is that really what is best for her? Dodd has made the decision to divorce Michael rather than let Jolie go through what she did as a child.
