Could Phaedra Parks be headed into politics? Andy Cohen tweets about Phaedra’s ‘RHOA’ future

Atlanta’s own Phaedra Parks may not be coming back to RHOA, but people may still her to hear her voice — in politics.

Phaedra Parks might one day throw her hat into the political arena. The reality star recently revealed that she “loves” politics while speaking at a panel during the Essence Festival. And when asked if she would ever run for public office, Phaedra considered the possibility:

"“People want a new voice and I can lend my voice to that.”"

If Phaedra Parks does decide to pursue a political career, she has relevant experience to do so. Politics is a brutal field, but so is TV. As Phaedra put it on the panel:

"Television is a tough business and the purpose of television is obviously to entertain and sometimes at the expense of the people who are doing the entertaining and so it’s a very hard platform to you to obviously maintain."

Sounds like politics! And she may have the free time too. As of today, her future as an RHOA cast member is still up in the air.

Since Phaedra Parks admitted to spreading the “date rape” rumor about Kandi Burruss, there have been several conflicting reports about Phaedra’s future as a housewife.

TMZ first reported that Phaedra Parks had been fired from the show that brought her fame.  Weeks later, All About the Tea reported that Phaedra Parks would return, but only to film an apology scene with Porsha Williams.

Bravo has yet to confirm or deny either of those reports, so it’s really all really just speculation at this point. Andy Cohen, RHOA‘s executive producer, hasn’t done much to give fans a concrete answer either.

When asked on Twitter if Phaedra Parks would come back “in any capacity”, he simply replied, “not sure.”
