Season 16 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta premiered on March 9, and with it came a new batch of housewives. It was an interesting premiere that gave us a whole new look at who Shamea Morton really is. We also had the return of Porsha Williams, who is going through a divorce.
That premiere and the first few episodes have really launched us into this new season. We have had some drama, we have had some wealth, and now we have their taglines. It took a while, but each of our peach holders has shared their thoughts on this season. At least, that’s what we think of when we think of the taglines.
The thing about the Bravo Housewife taglines is that sometimes they make no sense. Sometimes, they are a fun play on their own behavior and sometimes they are just random thoughts that don’t really add anything.
So how did the season 16 RHOA peach holders do? Let’s take a look at all of the taglines so far, courtesy of The Daily Dish.
RHOA season 16 taglines
- Porsha Williams gave us: “I snatched my peach back. Now, I'm bringing the juice.”
- Drew Sidora offered up: “I'll always be upper level. Everyone else is in the basement.”
- For Shamea Morton we have: “Plus one? Honey, I've always been that one.”
- Kelli Ferrell states: “I'm a mom of four girls. Give me attitude and I'll ground you too.”
- Angela Oakley gave a play on her name with: “If you want to find the shade, just look for the oak.”
- Brit Eady shared: “I'm pretty and paid, of course there's haters trying to shade.”
Honestly, the only tagline that made perfect sense was Porsha, as she is acknowledging the fact that she is back after being away. It made sense and I liked it. Drew is another one who really thought about her tagline and is kind of being shady with her basement comment, considering her ex is currently living in the basement of their home.
I would have expected better from Shamea. I get that she’s calling out the people who call her a lapdog for others, but she’s been around long enough that there has to be more to her than that.
It is still up in the air as to whether or not the other ladies made the right choice with their taglines. I do like the play off of Angela‘s last name with hers. But we need to get to the shade part for everybody.
It can be hard to create the right tagline as a new Housewife on any of these franchises, but here’s hoping that our ladies who decided to mention the shade are able to bring it in this season.
