Whitney Rose thinks Lisa Barlow will step up as a villain on RHOSLC

As the ladies of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are gearing up to start filming Season 5 of the reality series, one thing is on a lot of people's minds. Who will replace Monica Garcia? Considering she ended up being the "villain" of Season 4, it makes sense that people have questions.

One question is whether or not a new housewife will get to hold the snowflake or if RHOSLC will stick with the ladies they already have. And during a recent podcast chat with Nick Viall on The Viall Files, Whitney Rose shared her thoughts on who could be the "newest" villain of the franchise.

According to US Weekly, Rose explained that she believes that the new villain is going to be someone who has already been on the show the whole time. When asked by Viall about replacing Monica, Whitney said there was really no need.

"Nick, we already have her replacement. She’s been here for four years. I guess, it’s not her replacement. We already have that person: Lisa Barlow. Lisa’s always been the villain! You’re an iconic villain, Lisa. You’re a Salt Lake icon."

And honestly, her calling Lisa Barlow an icon is not wrong. Lisa is absolutely an iconic housewife and character. At the same time, it also makes sense that Whitney Rose would think that they don't need to replace Monica Garcia since they already have some interesting characters on the series.

However, while Rose might not think that we need a new face on the series, there is something to be said about finding someone else to bring into the mix to keep things fresh. While there have absolutely been some dramatic moments on RHOSLC, the issue is that some of these ladies are so stuck on the same drama that it can get tedious when they argue. It was nice to have some fresh drama in Season 4.

I think the series needs a shakeup beyond just adding a new cast member. Maybe we need to lose a lady as well. Or maybe we just need them to move on from some of the same issues they have been arguing about for years.
