The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is renewed, but do we really need it?
On October 3, news broke that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives would be getting more episodes. And while some reports indicate that this is a second season, others are saying this is just "20 additional episodes."
How ever you want to look at it, we are getting more Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on our screens after Hulu shared that "the pilot became the most-watched unscripted season premiere." With that type of success, it makes sense that it would get more episodes.
But do we really need more of this show? According to US Weekly, it sounds like the answer is yes, at least based on viewer response. And as a viewer, we can agree that we want more of the show, even if the reason for that yes is because we want more answers.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives renewed on Hulu
Considering the big question of season 1 was whether or not MomTok could survive the drama and scandal of the "soft swinger" reveal from influencer Taylor Frankie Paul, we need to know if these women can still be successful on TikTok. But the thing about that swinger drama is that it was just the beginning of what went down with these women, and the rest of their drama could also lead to the end of their MomTok journey. And we can't forget that their relationships with each other definitely took a beating throughout the season as well.
The first season left us with quite a few questions and not enough answers. And that means we do want more Secret Lives of Mormon Wives so that we can find out what happens with the women, such as Frankie and her new partner, Whitney Leavitt and her husband (and her desire to be the leader of the MomTok group), and Jennifer Affleck and her husband.
With so much unfinished business and drama, we really do need more episodes. And maybe we will find out more about how the church and their families feel about their behavior, how they treat each other, and even the way that MomTok has allowed these women a chance to provide for themselves.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was a surprise in terms of both how successful it was and what it revealed about these women. And we can't wait to see how viewing the first season for themselves will change things in terms of the relationship these women have with each other.
