When we think of Queer Eye on Netflix, the last thing we think of is drama. It might be a reality show, but it is often seen as a more wholesome series. But recently there have been a lot of rumors circulating about the cast and their relationships with each other.

Following the news that Bobby Berk was leaving Queer Eye, a ton of rumors began swirling. And it all came to a head when it was announced that Jeremiah Brent would be replacing Berk on the series. This led to a rumor that Tan France had gotten Bobby fired in order to bring his friend onto the series.

Now France is taking to social media to defend himself and set the record straight. In a video posted to Instagram, Tan opened up a bit about the rumors and made it clear that he had nothing to do with Bobby Berk being fired or even Jeremiah Brent being hired.

Tan France defends himself against Bobby Berk firing rumors

"My former colleague getting fired had nothing to do with my friend getting hired. Netflix and the production companies did a full-on casting. I didn’t prop my friend up for the job. They ended up getting it because they were the best person for the job."

Another thing that Tan France points out about all of this is that the rumor started on what he called a "gossip blog." And that doesn't surprise us in the least. Gossip and drama starting on a gossip blog makes perfect sense.

Whether or not there is any truth to the rumors, we don't really know. But it is definitely interesting to see what people are saying about this entire situation, especially with how quickly it seems that Bobby Berk was replaced and who replaced him.

It should be interesting to see if anyone else, including Netflix, comments on the rumors or the situation itself. And of course, we want to see how the cast works together now that Jeremiah is stepping into Bobby's position.

Are you surprised by the rumors circulating? What do you think of Tan France having to defend himself like this?
