Ever since Ozempic hit the market, it has been making waves. And a big reason for that is the fact that while it is a diabetic medication, it has also led to weight loss for so many people. In fact, it seems like Ozempic has quickly become the go-to weight loss drug of celebrities and influencers everywhere. It likely comes as no surprise that plenty of Bravo housewives are also using it to lose weight as well.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Heather Gay is no exception. And while she may not be alone in her use of this medication to help her lose weight, the RHOSLC star and published author has been shamed for her use of Ozempic.

According to Reality Tea, Heather Gay has admitted that she feels like she can't really do the right thing. And that no matter what she does, it is seen as being the wrong way to do something.

RHOSLC's Heather Gay comments on her weight loss

Even after losing weight, Gay is still being criticized for her weight. When she was heavier, people were calling her names and commenting on her size. And now that she used Ozempic to lose weight, they are still coming for her. The difference is that now they are also criticizing her for how she lost the weight.

While the haters might have plenty to say, Heather does admit that she "feels the same" as she did before she lost weight. In fact, she shared, "I feel the same. I feel like I liked myself then, [and] I like myself now. It’s just [that] Ozempic became available, and it worked for me."

Honestly, it has to be exhausting to have people constantly criticizing you for your looks and weight. And while she may be a public figure, it doesn't negate the fact that Heather Gay is a real person with feelings.

Although we can always talk about how Ozempic for weight loss is taking it away from diabetics who may need it, there is no denying that there are also plenty of doctors legitimately prescribing this to people for the purpose of weight loss. Maybe we need to find something else to focus on instead of what people look like and how they are taking care of themselves.

What do you think of Heather Gay being "shamed" for using Ozempic? Are you at all surprised by this?
