For three years, Dolores Catania and Paul Connell of The Real Housewives of New Jersey have been a solid couple. They never really seem to have a lot of problems on screen and they tend to stay out of the major drama. Of course, part of their RHONJ storyline does have to do with the future for these two and if marriage might be in the cards.

Unfortunately for Dolores, even if she wants to marry Paul, that has to wait until he is officially divorced from his ex. However, that doesn't even seem to cause problems for the couple, as the RHONJ housewife has made it clear that she trusts Paul and believes that he will get things done as soon as he can. Considering Dolores is considered to be the Switzerland of the RHONJ wives, it makes sense that even in her relationship, things would be a lot calmer than we sometimes see with other housewives.

All of that to say that it might come as a bit of a surprise that the thing that almost split Dolores and Paul was nothing to do with the fact that he has yet to get divorced from his ex or even real relationship drama. According to Reality Tea, it turns out that the reason for the almost breakup was menopause.

At 53 years old, Dolores Catania has been going through menopause and it seems that the hot flashes caused problems for the couple. What did she have to see about this time in her life and what happened with her and Paul Connell?

"Menopause is such a thing. I’m thinking of going more deep [sic] into it and maybe getting some more menopause products for women. Because I lived it. Me and Paul almost broke up over it. The heat, the thermostat. And it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t discriminate," Catania shared.

Honestly, it makes sense that such a major change in a woman's life might cause problems in her relationships. While these two might still be going strong, it is definitely interesting to see that the thing that almost split them up was menopause.
