JoJo Siwa praises Abby Lee Miller and says they still talk every week

Dance Moms was a cultural phenomenon. It was another look at the dance industry at a time when dance shows and movies were all the rage. And it was a phenom that showed us both the hard work that goes into being a competitive dancer, but also the dark side of the industry. Or at the very least, some of the drama and angst that can go into trying to be the very best in a crowded field of talented dancers.

On top of giving us a behind-the-scenes look at what it is like to be part of a competitive dance team, we also were introduced to some young dancers who are still making waves to this day. Of course, one of those dancers is JoJo Siwa. From her fashion line to her time as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance, it feels like Siwa is everywhere lately.

Just in time for the Dance Moms reunion for Lifetime, JoJo Siwa is opening up a bit more about her relationship with Abby Lee Miller. While Miller was not part of the reunion, her presence was definitely felt in a lot of ways.

According to People Magazine, Siwa has admitted that she and her former dance teacher are still in contact with each other. And not only that, but it is a weekly thing!

JoJo Siwa shared with the publication: "Abby, honestly, my relationship is great. I talk to her on a weekly basis. Great human in my life."

Of course, not everyone would agree with this sentiment. And since a number of the dancers said they would only participate in a Dance Moms reunion if Abby wasn't part of the project, we can't imagine that they are talking to her on a weekly basis.

Perhaps it is not that surprising to learn that JoJo Siwa is still close with Abby Lee Miller. They definitely share a rather unique bond thanks to their time on Dance Moms together. No matter what we think of what happened in the reality series, it is clear that Siwa is sticking with her former teacher.
