DDG says he spent $500,000 on Christmas presents for Halle Bailey

The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey was featured in adorable social media posts with her boyfriend, rapper DDG, while they exchanged Christmas gifts. Among the gifts DDG bought his singer and actress girlfriend were a Birkin bag and Tiffany jewelry, totaling an alleged $500,000! But, the videos don't just have fans green with envy about the lavish gifts -- they're also speculating about whether or not the two of them might have welcomed a baby together.

In a video shared by DDG to his Snapchat story, the pair are seen wearing festive pajamas as she's presented with a Tiffany box with a bracelet inside it. "This is too much. I can’t believe you got this! This is the one we tried on just to play and to pretend. Are you serious? You really got this?" Halle is heard in the video reacting to the gift as her boyfriend helps her put the jewelry on, but he says that's not the end.

"This is crazy! I’ve never even had a bag like this in my life," was her reaction to the next gift: a black Hermes Birkin bag that DDG called Halle's "dream gift" in a shot on his Snapchat account. According to the rapper, he spent half a million dollars in total on gifts for the special day.

The pair have been dating since 2022 and Halle Bailey opened up to People in May 2023 about their "transformative" relationship. According to the actress and singer, love has changed her and helped her to learn more about herself and become more of her own person. "I feel like things change when love gets more involved in your life. I have definitely discovered more within myself as a woman," she told People about her relationship with DDG.

While appearing on The Breakfast Club, DDG revealed that he feels just as strongly about Halle. "I feel like sometimes I'm even more excited than anybody else. Just seeing it and seeing everything that she dreamed of coming to life, it's really dope," he said about feeling "proud" that her career has been taking off recently with Halle starring in The Little Mermaid and The Color Purple as well as working on solo music.

Since October 2023, fans have speculated that Halle and DDG might be expecting a child together, but neither of them have confirmed the speculation. While Halle told people to stop speculating that her facial features might reflect the new addition to their family with her possible "pregnancy nose," the pair have been notably quiet about the rumors otherwise. But, the Christmas videos have fueled some of the speculation with fans thinking a baby could be heard crying during the celebration.
