Kate Chastain’s appearance on The Real Housewives of Potomac made perfect sense

In episode 16 of The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9, we got to see the introduction of Ashley Darby's Drag King alter ego, Ashton. And for some Bravo fans, you may have spotted a surprise guest.

While she wasn't part of the episode for long, Kate Chastain, our legendary Below Deck star, was there in support of Ashley. And it was showcased on screen that she was a friend of both Darby and Gizelle Bryant.

Not only did she express her excitement over the evening, but she also really got into the show as Ashley/Ashton performed. She even had those dollar bills out to reward our newly minted Drag King.

But if you have been a fan of these women for any length of time, then her appearance on RHOP was probably not the biggest surprise. As The Daily Dish by Bravo pointed out, if you are a fan of BravoCon, then you might remember that Chastain and Darby attended the Mom’s Night Out: WWMD? panel in 2023.

Not only that, but Chastain has also worked closely with Bryant as her co-host on Bravo's Chat Room. The late-night series saw the two women chatting about a wide range of topics including things happening in the Bravo world, their own experiences, and more.

So knowing Chastain's history with both Bryant and Darby, it made perfect sense that she would pop up for this event on RHOP. Perhaps the only question we have is whether or not we will see her making another guest appearance as a friend in the future.

It would be nice to see some of the other Bravo women who have befriended these ladies, showing up for other events, including those for charity. And we definitely want to see more of Chastain, as she is definitely one of our favorite Bravolebrities, especially if that means getting to see her interact with the women of RHOP.

She may not have been on-screen during RHOP for long, but she definitely made an impression.
