In November 2024, reality TV fans learned that The Real Housewives of Dubai was going on a pause after two seasons. While there have been some reports and theories that a pause means the series is canceled, until Andy Cohen himself uses that term, we will believe that the show is on hiatus. However, on Jan. 1, RHODubai's Caroline Brooks shared her thoughts on the show and what went down.

According to Brooks, the series was “toxic,” and “overly orchestrated,” and even went as far as to accuse her cast mates of “hiding their true identities.”

Brooks also responded to people in her replies section, including one who talked about rumors that the reason the show was paused was over laws in Dubai. However, she denied those beliefs, writing: "Every episode is approved by lawyers or officials to ensure it’s appropriate for TV in this region. If they thought laws were broken, the Dubai Film and TV Commission would’ve revoked our permits."

That being said, we have our own thoughts, and we pretty much agree with Brooks that there were plenty of moments that felt forced. We want authenticity with our housewives and while we did enjoy RHODubai, some of the women did not feel like they were being their most authentic selves.

There were also arguments throughout the show that did not make any sense. It was like they were arguing just to get air time, and we didn't need that. Perhaps our favorite women on the show were the ones who felt like they were being their most honest selves. So who were our favorites in season 2? That would be Brooks, Chanel Ayan, Sara Al Madani, and Caroline Stanbury. (The Carolines have my heart on RHODubai.)

We appreciate the fact that Brooks is being so open and honest about her thoughts on RHODubai. We would love to see her get another chance to shine as a housewife, but of course, it is all about the cast and who they either bring back or bring on.
