Why Britani Bateman going to Sold on SLC might be a better fit for her than RHOSLC

Although Britani Bateman was actually a friend of the housewives on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, she still had a big impact on season five. She was definitely a part of some of the drama, and she had her own storyline that we were paying attention to.

That being said, we do have to point out that she was not a full-time housewife. So she didn’t have the same level of storyline as the other women. However, I don’t think even if she had been a housewife she would’ve had a major storyline that kept us coming back for more.

I don’t think Britani brings the level of drama to RHOSLC that the other ladies of SLC do. I also don’t think she has that ‘it’ factor that makes her as entertaining as a housewife. That being said, I have to say that she does seem to have what it takes to be on reality TV. I just don’t think this is the show for her.

I don’t think Britani has that aggressive personality that a lot of housewives need. She could barely find something nasty to say to roast another woman in the season five finale, and she really felt like not inviting someone to tea was the worst thing she could’ve said about them.

We don’t necessarily want every housewife to be nasty and aggressive, but at the same time, that little bit of shade that they all seem to be able to drop on a dime is a big part of why we tune in. We need people who get along but also know how to argue. And I just don’t think she has that same level of shadiness that some of the other ladies do. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, but it is a bad thing if you are going to be on reality TV. And especially if you are going to be on a bravo housewife franchise.

So when it was announced that Britani Bateman was joining the realty company, Presidio, which is spotlighted on the series Sold on SLC, it felt like she would make a perfect addition to that show instead. Now she’s not so much about the drama as some of the people on that show, but that’s okay, as maybe that show needs less drama anyway.

We don’t need to see her battling it out with the women of RHOSLC, or talking about her relationship with an Osmond. However, it would be nice to see her showcasing houses for sale in Salt Lake City. We would love to see how she interacts with the community in order to get a house sold and really, there are so many ways that she would be a great fit for the SLC spinoff.

While there’s no guarantee that we will get a second season of Sold on SLC, it definitely has the potential to get renewed. And there is no denying that season one has been very intense. I think the biggest problem with this show at this point is the fact that it is called Sold on SLC and we haven’t actually seen anything being sold.

We have barely seen any real estate content at all. I think we’ve had one actual open house, one marketing campaign to sell real estate, and a few small interactions with houses being sold. That’s not enough for a show that is meant to be about the real estate of Salt Lake City. We need more. And maybe if they bring in fresh blood, that’s what we could get in a second season.

Perhaps giving Britani Bateman a new chance to shine would actually be beneficial to Sold on SLC. Maybe both Britani and Sold on SLC need a little help from each other.
