Rap superstar Nicki Minaj appeared on Watch What Happens Live to promote her Pink Friday 2 album and shared a ton of information about the future of her career — including that there will eventually be a Pink Friday 3 album, idolizing Beyonce and Rihanna, and how much money it would take for her to go back to her 2013 gig of judging American Idol.

Minaj was a judge during the 2013 season of the singing competition series alongside a panel that included other huge stars like Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and American Idol veteran judge Randy Jackson.

Things weren’t particularly smooth on the judges’ panel when Nicki Minaj and pop star Mariah Carey clashed on some of the auditions. At one point, Minaj even left the auditions after getting into an argument about whether or not Mariah Carey was being too harsh on one of the singers auditioning. There were even reports that Carey hired extra security out of concern for the fights she was getting into with the “Super Bass” rapper.

Would Nicki Minaj ever take her seat on the American Idol judging panel back?

When Watch What Happens Live‘s iconic game “Plead the Fifth” came up, Nicki Minaj was put in the hot seat to answer some tough questions and one of them was how much money it would take to get the rapper to consider going back to American Idol to judge another season.

Her answer? 30 million dollars.

Whether or not ABC, the network that has been airing the revival of the series since 2018 following Fox ending their run in 2016, would ever pay up and give Nicki Minaj the check she’s requiring to be a judge is up in the air.

Considering she’s in the middle of preparing for a world tour for her Pink Friday 2 album, she’s probably too busy to take on the job anyway. The hosts on the latest season were Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, so at least Nicki wouldn’t have to worry about her feud with Mariah Carey heating back up if she took the offer.
